Documents Required to Avail Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), one of the housing schemes in India, is an Indian government initiative that aims to provide homes to citizens by 2022. Beneficiaries of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) under PMAY can get a home loan subsidy of up to 6.5%. You can apply for the PMAY program either online or in person. However, for your application to be processed and to avail of the benefits of PMAY, you must submit some supporting papers.

PMAY Eligibility Criteria

Applicants from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Widows, Senior Citizens, and other groups are also eligible under the PMAY programme. As a result, they may be asked for the following documents-

  • Age Proof- Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Aadhar Card, Passport, etc.
  • Marriage Certificates
  • Death Certificate of Spouse – In the case of widows
